The most efficient way to get the first Instagram followers

Hi all! My name is Daniil Okhlopkov and I am a creator of Instabot — open source Instagram automatization tools. With my tools, I personally helped over 30 accounts to grow from 0 to 10k followers and about 3k users use them every day.

In this short article, I’d like to share with you the most efficient way to get the first followers for your business or personal account. In other words, if your goal is to start to grow your Instagram fast with high quality and very active user base — please scroll down the page.

To be honest, I have not tested this on large accounts (> 20k followers) and I personally think that this can help only small accounts to get the first audience. But if you have a large account and this tactic works for you — leave a comment here with your story!

Hashtag mass liking doesn’t work

People usually put hashtags on their photos to attract more people or maybe to grab free likes from autoliker bots. This doesn’t mean that a user who’ve used hashtags is active and ready to like or follow other accounts. For example, yours.

Attract active audience

But you need an active audience who will like, follow and watch your content.

You need to “be active” to start to follow someone. But grabbing someone’s followers attention is not so much effective because that doesn’t mean that these users are active in all meanings: they can just follow an account and forget about it. In contrast, if a user liked some media on Instagram, she shows that “she is an alive person” and “ready to like more”.

To sum up, I came up with this strategy to gain a high-quality audience to me or my client’s Instagram accounts :

1. Find accounts or hashtags that are relevant to your profile. For example, if you are a coffee shop, you can use your competitor Instagram profile
2. Find users who like them. To increase efficiency, you can grab the attention of users who liked your competitor several times.
3. Grab their attention with any method you’d like: like their photos, follow them, watch their stories, etc.

I’ve tried a lot of different Instagram promotion strategies and this one is the most efficient I’d know. Your new followers will stay with you much longer because they decided to follow you with their own decision and because your profile has something they already liked.
